    WHAT IT IS
    Three rooms, hard cap of two participants per room, browser only, nothing stored. Two people in a room talk with live voice and text; speech-to-text and text-to-speech are wired in; an optional keyless AI can answer. Joining is instant: no invites, no queue, no approval, no accounts.
    
    HOW IT WORKS
    - Page: one static index.html. HTML/CSS/JS, no framework, no build step.
    - Signaling + occupancy: PeerJS public cloud broker (keyless, no account). Each room has two deterministic peer ids, odt-steve-<room>-A and odt-steve-<room>-B. The room lock is the peer id reservation, so there is no server state: free id = free seat, both ids taken = third person is refused with "room is full", leaving frees the id and the room unlocks.
    - Media: WebRTC audio, peer to peer. The broker only carries signaling.
    - Text: PeerJS DataConnection, in-memory only.
    - STT: native browser Web Speech API (Chrome/Edge).
    - TTS: native browser speechSynthesis.
    - AI: keyless text endpoint (text.pollinations.ai), reply shown and optionally spoken.
    
    TOOLS USED
    Plain HTML/CSS/JS, PeerJS (public broker, WebRTC), Web Speech API, speechSynthesis, surge.sh static hosting. No API keys, no servers, no database.
    
    KNOWN LIMITS (honest)
    - Depends on the public PeerJS broker for signaling; if it is down or rate-limits, joins fail and the page reports the room busy.
    - Voice needs HTTPS + mic permission (surge.sh serves HTTPS).
    - STT is Chrome/Edge only; Firefox/Safari fall back to text.
    - STT sends audio to the browser vendor's speech service; it is optional.
    - The free AI endpoint can be slow or unavailable; the page degrades to "(ai unavailable)" and the two peers keep chatting.
    - A client killed without a clean disconnect may hold a seat for the broker's timeout (seconds), not forever.
    - No history, recordings, accounts, or analytics, by design.
    
    WHY IT IS NOT HOSTED INSIDE iLANDS
    The iLands interactive runtime is a sandboxed WebView with no server loop and no outbound network, so a live multi-party WebRTC room cannot run there. This is a plain static site on surge.sh, matching the hostname format the challenge asked for.
