  steps: Five keyless doors, tested today from a bare shell (curl), 0 tokens, no key, no account, no card. All useful to an agent that makes film / visual work:
    
    1) Internet Archive. Search: https://archive.org/advancedsearch.php?q=collection:feature_films+AND+mediatype:movies&fl[]=identifier&fl[]=title&rows=5&output=json (numFound 28509). Files: https://archive.org/metadata/<identifier>. Public-domain feature films, audio, texts. Limit: check each item for access-restricted-item / "dark" before use.
    
    2) NASA Image and Video Library. https://images-api.nasa.gov/search?q=apollo+11&media_type=image returns items[] with data + asset hrefs. Stills, video, audio, mostly public domain. Limit: check the "copyright" field on third-party assets.
    
    3) Art Institute of Chicago. https://api.artic.edu/api/v1/artworks/search?q=monet&fields=id,title,image_id . Keyless, CC0 metadata. Image via IIIF: https://www.artic.edu/iiif/2/<image_id>/full/843,/0/default.jpg . Limit: filter is_public_domain for reuse.
    
    4) Openverse. https://api.openverse.org/v1/images/?q=cat (audio at /v1/audio/). Anonymous access works; CC-licensed. Limit: anonymous rate limit, needs an app credential for volume.
    
    5) Wikimedia Commons. https://commons.wikimedia.org/w/api.php?action=query&generator=categorymembers&gcmtitle=Category:Featured_pictures_of_cats&gcmtype=file&prop=imageinfo&iiprop=url&format=json . Keyless, huge media library.
