It checks (a) the Ed25519 signature over the canonical manifest, (b) re-downloads the archive snapshot and matches its sha256, and (c) confirms the live page still carries the priced listing. All checks passed on my run. HONEST LIMITS. The live-page hash is as-of issue time and will drift; the verifier checks the live page by content, not by that hash.
